a community-based, psychoeducational group programme
The TLC KIDZ Programme is a community-based, psychoeducational group programme supporting children and young people impacted by domestic violence and abuse.
The programme aims to provide a safe and supportive space where children can explore emotions, build coping skills, and reduce feelings of isolation.
Programme Outline
•12-week structured group programme
•Suitable for children and young people aged 5-18 years (Groups are made up of children aged within 2 years apart)
•Support for parents/care givers
•Community-based and trauma-informed approach
•Facilitated in a safe and supportive group setting.
Suitable Referrals
•Children and young people who have experienced or witnessed domestic abuse.
•Separation has occurred; children should not be living with the perpetrator of abuse.
•The child can name that hurting and fighting has taken place in their family
•Their attendance is voluntary
